I'd highly recommend getting your blood pressure checked. And cutting back on sodium in the meantime.

Sounds like symptoms of pre-eclampsia. Honestly, if it were me I'd be headed to the hospital to get checked out just to be safe. Not trying to scare you, I just know pre-e (if it is that) can be serious so it's best you just be on the safe side and go see the doctor ASAP.

Stupid question do I do that without going to the ER? I never had a problem with blood pressure before.

Call your doc and try to be squeezed in. Then, if you can't get in, go to either ER or L&D (my choice would be L&D because the ER will probably just send you up there anyway).

Call L&D tonight and see if they want you to come in. High BP can be BERY serious for baby if not treated fast. How long have you had the swelling?

You can check your BP at places like walmart. But honestly with the issues you're having, I'd go to L&D.

The swelling started when I turned 24 weeks pregnant. So about a week.

Should I call after hour lines too see what they want me to do?

Exactly. I had borderline high BP my whole pregnancy and when I had a headache for 4 days they weren't concerned at the fact my hand and fingers were numb, they were worried about the headaches and the BP.

I absolutely would. You've been swollen for a week, so it's not just diet or something. I'd bet you have pre-e or will have by the end!

Just call L&D at you hospital. Your after hours OB will probably tell you to go to L&D just to be safe so I'd speak directly to them. If you're selling that long this early, they will probably want to see you.

Yup.. I started swelling like that at about 28 or 30 weeks, couldn't wear flip flops even by 38 weeks without massive indents. By 39 weeks I was getting the proteins. I got lucky it lasted that long.

I called L&D and I explain what was going on and they said they can't tell me what to do to call my doctor. So I tried calling my doctor and it keeps ringing so I'm going to try in 5 minutes.

That's odd. Most of the time they say to come in if you feel the need. Do you feel like you're going to be okay until morning or is it something that feels "off" now? What does your intuition say?

I guess I should just wait until morning and give my OB a call at 8/9... I mean he's been active earlier so I know he's okay. It's lasted a week and he's active... So when he's active he's okay.. Right?

Just wondering what exactly is PRE-E?
