It is a good rule of thumb yes. BUT you really should get it checked asap. preeclampsia is a condition of high blood pressure along with a few other things that can only be cured by delivery. Sadly if it gets too bad they have to take baby early because it can be deadly for both mom and baby.

Oh no. I want too call, but when I go to the ER they are extremly rude too me because an old EX of mine mother works as an OB and stuff. It's terrible the things they say, and all the dirty looks I get.
I don't know.. I think I'll try calling one more time.

Is there another hospital near by? You don't have to go to the one your OB is stationed out of. They can send the info to them.

Skip the ER and go to L&D.

Definitely go in tonight if you can because the BP can spike any time and it can be absolutely deadly!

I tried talking to my mom to see if she'll take me but she says I need to relax and wait until tomorrow.
Ugh. I went to the ER earlier this week because of what I thought contracting, were BH.. and they said my blood pressure was a little high but they didn't seem concerned they sent me home.
It's 2:53 am here , and all the stores are close so I can't check my blood pressure there. I have No way to L&D except my parents...

I try explaining it to her, and she's telling me to wait until morning.

Yes if she won't take you, put your feet up above your heart, and drink lots of water.

Yes please do. Try to keep your feet up while you sleep too. That should help a bit.

No, they sound ignorant and I'd definitely go into L&D and make them see you. That is definitely a pregnancy issue, not something you see your regular doctor for. Idiots   sorry you're dealing with them

Go to L&D and do it today before you have a spike and they have to take the baby to save you! I'm really worried for you, mama!

File a complaint if you're not being treated properly. It's unethical as hell!!! Go to the hospital's "patient relations" person!

How do I file a complaint? Walk in to the hospital front desk and ask too?
My neck is smaller, but it's still swollen, not so bad though my feet and hands are though... I'm scared. Do I go in check my blood pressure at a store? And if it's high do I go/call?

Just go straight to L&D and get taken care of ASAP!!!

and if they hassle you or are rude, notify someone at the front desk and they'll get you in touch with patient relations---the admin of the hospital wants your money, they don't care about your personal issues with a staff member, they will be very upset that their staff are driving away patients, no matter who they are!!!
