Bath-time terror

So my 16 month old used to HATE the bath for all of his baby-hood and up until last week. Randomly one night after dreading getting him into the bath he started playing and laughing. Now he loves the bath so much that he cries when I have to take him out. Tonight I let him play in the bath for an hour and a half but still he was livid when I took him out. Any way to transition him in a positive way from the bath to jammies and quiet story time? I'm so afraid that anything I do will get him to hate the bath again. I really don't want that to happen. He would scream at the top of his lungs the whole ten minutes while I frantically washed his body and hair. I enjoy reading a book and sitting next to the tub while he plays for an hour but I can't handle the after tub tantrum.

DD is 26 months and would always flip when it came time to get out of the bath. Now she's old enough to understand so we bribe her. If she gets out of the bath nicely and with no fighting or crying she gets lotioned or powdered up or gets her nails done or she gets to choose a treat (usually just a marshmallow or an m+m or similar)

That's cute, she likes getting her nails done. Yes bribes will have to happen I guess. I can usually bribe him with juice. He loves apple juice.
