WHY would you want a csection?

It would probably be better to request some answers before a c-section because that is not necessarily the best option. If I were you I'd want to know what was wrong first (for example, how dangerously low the heart rate was and why I wasn't kept in the hospital for that) rather than request a c-section.

I wouldn't. I might ask to be induced though if things were not goin well.

No, a doctor is not going to perform major abdominal surgery because you tell them to. That's like me going to my doctor and asking him to cut my arm off because its getting in my way.

no doctor I have ever heard of would agree to that request. if it was an option they would suggest it.

i wouldn't REQUEST to have a c-section. Your OB is there for your health and safety and also for your unborn baby. If your OB wants you to have one then he/she will tell you. If you don't feel like your OB is addressing your concerns then i suggest you consult a new OB

Go and get answers not just rush into something. C-sections can be very hard on babies. Thats why its uaully reservered *well supposed to be anyway* for emergencies when you have to go with the lesser evil. Mine was hell

If they are a good doctor and have ethics, no, they won't just perform a major surgery for smurfs and giggles.

Most doctors won't do a c section unless its absolutely necessary. Remember a c section is surgery and with any surgery there poses potential risks.

I wouldnt. They are terrible. Not being able to get out of your bed or hold your child for weeks isnt fun.

If your doctor has no medical reason to do a C-Section, then you will be expected to pay for the surgery and associated hospital stay and costs out of pocket.
Why on Earth would you REQUEST a C-Section? You can always bring it up woth your doctor, but you do realize that it's major abdominal surgery, not a simple routine procedure, right? I think that if your doctor saw it as necessary, that card would have already been placed on the table.
