re: if i request a c section will my dr give me one

I doubt it unless he finds it necessary. I think you should discuss your concerns with him at your next appointment.

If there is no good medical reason, NO! It is major surgery with plenty of risk to you and baby. Not to mention that they aren't going to just say "Ok, let's schedule this tomorrow for you". They take time to schedule and plan. Unless there is room in the OR or you are considered an emergent case (which you aren't or this wouldn't be a question you are asking) you are just going to have to do it like millions of other women.

mine was an emergency. so was my sister's. every baby she had afterwards was a scheduled c-section because of her prior complications. but she had asked her doctor from the beginning if she could have a c-section, and her doctor told her it wasn't something you could request. you had to need it. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope you talk to your OB and get your answers first. I was so traumatized that hubby and i decided we aren't having any other kids (LO was #4 though so it worked out)

Weeks? I certainly hope you are embelishing. As soon as I felt my legs I was up and walking. I never had problems holding my children after mine. Not that I think they are a walk in the park. I would have loved vaginal births but still.

Mine was as well. Its not the main reason why we cant have anymore but its a big factor because it was just so awful.

If I was concerned about the heart rate and the activity level of the baby, I would probably be back in L&D. They would induce you if there was an issue before they would give you a c-section.

Not allowed to. I had Pre-e and had went into seizures. My BP the day I deliverd was 250/211 and didnt go down till I was 4 months PP. Worst time of my life. I honestly think if I wouldnt have had my son I would have offed myself

Mine wasn't that bad, I only had 24 hours of magnesium afterwards. I am really hoping to be up right away this time, the more I moved the better I felt, I want to get moving ASAP.

I was on it till the day I left and before I delivered. At first I thought it wasnt that bad just got a little warm in my face and neck. Well the next time they gave it to me I wanted to like rip off my face if that makes sence. I hated mag....ughh.
