1. no screaming
2. do NOT spill smurf on the carpet, keep in the dining room.
3. if you aren't playing with it, put it up.
4. absolutely stay out of my closet.
everything else is pretty much fair game.

Ok so do the rules in my OP sound fine? I'm making a chart to put on the fridge and when they break the rule I'm going to be like "you broke rule # whatever". I just got finished reading a how to be a calm parent blog post and it said to have rules but not too many. So is 5 enough or should I add more?!

My children have no reason to be in the kitchen...ever. It's my space and I do.t need them under my feet. They eat in the dining room. :S
