fever

posted 7th Jan
I took DD to the doctor today because of a nasty cough and 102.3 fever she'd been running all night even with Tylenol. They gave her an antibiotic that I'm suppose to give her. She did alright for a couple hours, laid down for a nap and not even ten minutes later she woke up screaming with a temp of 104.8. I took it again it was 103.7.
Her temp keeps jumping so rapidly I'm worried.
Er worthy? I'd have to call my husband out of work because the car seat is in the car with him..
She'll be two in March by the way..

You should be able to page her doctor through a physicain exchange at the hosptial. It may be another doctor that's "on-call", but you should be able to page SOMEONE.

A fever is actually a good sign - her body is responding appropriately to whatever infection she's fighting. Unless she seems lethargic and won't drink fluids, I would avoid the ER.
