re: Waxing 3 yr old..

I've been waxing Sera since she was two. She's 4 now. I don't see the big deal, she'll thank me later. She is sooooo hairy.

This 100%. I wish you were my mom growing up. My mom told me I had a unibrow when I was like 5 or 6 and I remember crying about it and being so embarrassed. And then to add onto it I had kids at school calling me hairy and teasing me ha. I am so self conscience about it now. I would personally smurf Farrah up for that one if I could lol. So sad

I think its stupid, but I think people are pretty lame for getting all bent out of shape over it. There are children in the world with real problems, I couldn't give 1 smurf about parents tweezing eyebrows. I'm sure the child will grow up to be just as vapid and shallow and Farrah, who cares, no law against it.

Really? To who does she need to look pretty for? Is the pain even worth it for a little girl?js

They make do many different kinds of wax. Cool wax, honey wax, hot wax... They are not all infused with chemicals.

This! Why put them through that at a young age imagine how many years she has to go through that? I am sure she got the uni from someone. Smh. Whats next?

Obviously a sane parent would not WAX their 3 year old's eyebrows. Now, my kid has very blonde hair and very light skin... so it barely looks like she has eyebrows at all, but they are VERY thick, she's got peach fuzz on her back, arms, and legs. I think it's CUTE! Sophia is absolutely DARLING. I would never have thought to wax her uni brow! What? That child is naturally beautiful and her mama needs to leave her alone.

ETA: I still don't get why it's such a big deal if a child is hairy. NEWSFLASH: *****PEOPLE***** are hairy! We ALL have hair! I don't know what is so damn shameful about it! Yes, I shave. But I'm a 28 year old woman and it's my own damn choice. Sophia didn't have that choice and got her dang eyebrows ripped out. Or not. Either way. No. Just. No.

Haha! See I've always been self conscious about the way I look for as long as I can remember, and I never had anyone giving me a reason to. But I also never had anyone telling me that I was beautiful until in my eyes it was too late. When I already had the 'I'm not good enough' b/s built up in my head. I never want DD or DS for that matter to have to go through that.

I started getting my brows waved at 8. I have no issues from my mom waxing my uni. It's not any different than you as a parent coloring your hair, shaving your legs, wearing make up. All these things are showing kids we alter our bodies to look better.
