She did it!

She peed in the potty!!
She'll be 2 next month and we have been slowly introducing potty training. Every time I go to the bathroom I take her diaper off and set her on her potty and she'll sit there until I'm done. She never went until today. She peed! She was so excited and we called her daddy and she told him "daddy I pee!"
So do you think this means it's time to get more serious with potty training?

i would! we are working on it now as well!!

I would just keep doing what you are doing. Maybe try some naked time and see if she goes on her own still. Just keep encouraging and praising her when she goes.

What method are you using? I've read about so many different things people do to potty train their kids and I don't know which to do.

NAKED!! if i even put a diaper on this kid he will go pee in it!! he has good days and bad days! i put a pull up on him when he naps!

That's awesome! Yep, definitely time to start getting more serious about it. And of course, every time she uses the potty, reward her (had to do so with my son, only way...) and praise (which I'm sure you're doing already!  ) Good luck!

Naked might work because the kid loves being naked.
I figured she was ready because she brings me a diaper and wipes and tells me she peed or pooped.

I think I'll get a sticker board and let her pick a sticker and put it on the board every time she goes. She loves stickers and I'm not sure she'd really grasp the concept of any other reward system at her age.

That'd work. We did something like that with my son... Anytime he'd go in the potty for us, we'd give him a star... then once he got so many stars, he got a sucker. or some other kind of treat. Taught him that if he does good, he gets a treat for it. And if he wet his pants, a star was taken away and he didn't get a treat that week. Needless to say, he was potty trained before we knew it. Now the only problem we have is with him wiping. lol
