re: Is it wrong of me?

I wouldn't do a party for 1 night, but I would do something special. that being said, we promised my son a party if we could get his weight up to his goal weight. he is underweight and seeing a nutritionist to gain weight.

I like that idea! My SO's stepbrother did this with his son while in potty training but it was to get a special car bed

how bout pizza party after like a month.. after one week bake her favourite cookies with her.. two weeks make cupcakes with her icing sprinkies n all. three weeks take her to a movie/ rent a movie she is exited to see do the popcorn n all that.. then one month party party timee woohoo that would totally get her on a routine.. and if she slips up one night and gets upset just tell her you'll start again that day and give her lots ofencouragment.. make sure she knows the pizza party is never out of her reach, all she has to do is her part of the deal..totally ok!

Oh my! I thought I was the only one! Though DD is only 3 I swear she should have been sleeping through the night by now. Reading this does not give me any hope that she will ever get there :/

Lmao!!! I see all these posts about "should my 6 month old be sleeping thought the night" or "i gave my baby cereal so they'd sleep through the night". And I just laught and say "my 5 yr old still doesn't always sleep through the night haha". Gimme a break!!! I love that she woke up as a baby. It reassured me she was ok. Now it's kind of a pita but it's still nice to know she's ok   it helps me sleep better at night

I wouldnt.

But I have never been in your shoes. My kids (all 3 of them) never woke in the night since birth. Now at 10 and 4 and 11 months old, they still dont get up in the night. Well the older two do get up, but only to pee and have a drink then go back to bed, they never wake me me up or stay up etc.....

My 7 month old sleeps better than my 3 year old!!! I don't know what it is, but when it comes to her bed she just won't sleep in it. However if I let her sleep in my bed from start to finish she does fine. And to be honest that's what I have been doing to save room as I have to share my room with my two kids.

That's how I was as a kid. I was too afraid to ever wake my parents up. I'd sneak quietly to the bathroom during the night and everything. And I'd get up in the morn and quietly turn on cartoons until they woke up. It was just my personality. Nothing my parents forced me to do. But my brother was the in their bed forever kid and wake them up when he woke up.

Me and my brother did the same. we were not scared to wake them up at all, and mine are not either.

Just how we did things. Got up on weekends made ourselves breakfats watched cartoons, then we would hurry up and finish our chores before they woke up, so they would take us to do fun things. lol
