Ulcerative colitis

I was just wondering what did you change in your diet or what is your diet now? And what helps you to not have "flare ups"?
I'm newly diagnosed

I don't have it, but my ex husband does. ( Thought it was Chrons at first).

We cut out red meats, anything containing nuts, corn, and cut down on dairy.

It seemed to help him, on top of his medication.

My aunt has u.c. She avoids leafy vegies during flare ups because it aggravates it. She took accutane decades ago and surprise surprise, she has u.c. now. I tried to warn off a few frienda from taking but they did any way. I pray that they dont go through the same pain as my aunt.

Thank you! I've been eating leafy and spicy foods and been under horrible stress so my UC has been bad this past 3 weeks and my poor mother has UC bad and now I truly understand what she's had to go through

I'm sorry.   My ex boyfriend had UC too at a young age. He had his first flare up in his teens. It sucks.
