stripping your membranes...

So today my doctor stripped my membranes....I'm overdue by 3 days and she said sometimes when you do this it can make you go into labor...has anyone had their membranes stripped that went into labor that same day??

i had mine stripped but never went into labor on my own...

it took me 5 days after i had my membranes stripped

IT didn't work for me

The thrid time they did it to me, i was 39 weeks 5 days and it sent me into labor that day within an hour. I couldnt feel the contractions but i had to have an ultrasuond bc my son was measuring small (he turned out to be 8 pounds 9 ounces). I had him the next day at 2pm, so within 24 hours

It happend on the same day. My friend got hers stripped and then a few hours later she was in labor.

I got mine stripped today too! Haha.. I'm not expecting much though cuz I had them stripped last week and nothing happened. I see you got your induction date too   My doctor wants me to go on the 13th but right now they're booked so if nothing opens up I'm going on the 11th! I'm so excited!!

im 40 weeks 4 days today and had mine stripped the last 2 fridays and nothing~ I hope it works for you~ Labor dust mommma~~~

haha I love how everything about us so far is the same. Ya i've been spotting since 2 hours after she stripped them. Have you spotted at all?

After any of you had your membranes stripped did you have your bloody show? I have already been losing parts of my mucous plug and got my membranes stripped around noon today. The last two times I went pee there was a little blood tinged stuff. I guess it could just be more mucous plug from her digging around in there, but I'm just curious. I knew it probably wouldn't work, but I still have my fingers crossed. This is baby #3 for me and I'm miserable with this pregnancy. I know it happens to everyone, but I figured it couldn't hurt to have it done. Anywho, I'm just curious.

That's exactly what happened to me! I got mine stripped around noon too. A few hours later I noticed I was leaking some goo (TMI)..and then there was a little blood mixed in with it.

So do any of you know if it's normal to have cramping and a little pain after having your membranes stripped? Cause ever since..I've been having pains.

I'm just ready to not be pregnant anymore. LOL, I know everyone says let them stay in there, they will come out when they are ready. I had my other two just days before my due dates, so I went almost all the way with them. I've always been told the more you have the faster your labor and sooner (within reason) they come. I was put on procardia at 33 weeks to stop the contractions I was having, they ended up stopping on their own after a week or so. This pregnancy has been hell. The kind that makes me not want to have anymore kids.

I know how you feel and this is my first baby! I've been overdue for 3 days already and if I do end up having my induction i'll be 8 days overdue! I'm completely miserable!

I was stripped yesterday at 7:30 p.m. and for the last 2 hrs contractions are 5 mins apart...I have had the bloody mucus all day called the dr this morning and he said walk drink lots of fluids come to hospital when contractions are 3-5 mins apart or water breaks. So Im gonna wait another hour or so and it keeps up Im going in . But this is the 4 th time I was stripped.
