Its when you give a warning and then count to up to 3 and if by the time you get to 3 the behavior hasnt change your do a punishment of some kind? like taking away the time going on a time out right?
We do that little bit, but we throw in more positive discipline. Like I will tell her stop hitting that hard toy against daddy bass amp, Im going to count to 3 and then the knight is going to go on a time out..
1...2...3...
and sometimes she stops and she is doesnt and loses her smurf, we go into her room and take deep breaths and once she she is calm we read a book and we can get off time out.. I dont really think its works that well by its self, at least for my kid.. But my counselor said it worked really well for 5 year old.

I used it with my daughter when she was a toddler...it is amazingly effective when done correctly.

The people who are quick to dismiss it don't understand that it takes a lot of patience.

thanks! hes getting bad hes punching himself! they said to buy that book and hoepfully it helps

I took a class on it while I was still pregnant. My son is too young still but I want to. My husband doesn't think he should get that Many chances...so idk if it will work with out both on board. The teacher of the class said she uses it on her daughter and it works really well
