Why do you want a c-section? I had to have one and while it went really well, I was in a lot of pain the first two weeks of my son's life and it made the transition to mommy much harder. I really wish I could have had a vaginal birth. Is it because of your age?

I am curious. Why do you want an elective csection? As someone who had one I would give anything to have had a natural delivery.

why in the world would you want a c section?

Why would you want a c-section if you don't have to have one? It takes a lot longer to recover from than a vaginal delivery. I guess if it's really something you are set on doing though you will have to just call around to different doctor's offices and ask.

Why would you want elective c-section? It is harder for your body to recover from them..

I have done all the research and it is my choice to have a c-section.

Anyone in Denver area who can help, looking forward to your replies, thanks!

I don't know many doctors that are for elective csections. Your best bet would to be call around and ask. They will tell you if you are wasting your time coming to that doc or not.

You'll have a harder time finding a doctor to do a C-Section because of your age. My Aunt was 42 when she delivered her son and they refused to do a C-Section unless absolutely necessary because of the risks associated with it. The older you are, the harder the recovery and the higher the chance for complications. I don't know why you'd want to beat your body up out of convenience. I would've given anything to have a vaginal delivery...

Ugh. C sections suck. You can't just "decide" to go that way.

Have you tried calling around? I think that'll be your best bet, in my opinion.

OT, I really adore your Cockatiel.

Also most Insurance Companies will not cover elective C-Sections, only C-Sections that are emergency and/or medically necessary.

It actually is a growing trend in some more "exclusive" areas (ie: Beverly Hills, etc.) BUT it really is not something most doctors would agree to unless you have an actual medical condition that warrents one. You can call around and ask, but don't expect a warm reception to the inquiry from most placesor from alot of mommies on here.
Just my opinion.

Actually, yes you can, and if you read up on the subject, there are in fact many doctors who are in favor of the procedure because there is a statistically lower chance of something going wrong for which they will be sued.

Obviously it isn't a popular point of view around here, I see that now, but it's happening all over the place, all the time.
