Cucumber, chicken, beef, rice... Everything! As long as it is healthy and not too salty.

He eats whatever I eat really. So far his favorite foods are green beans, yams, cornbread, and vegetable soup. LOVES vegetable soup. he has had neck bones and greens and loved it....if you cant tell. We are a family that only cooks soul food.

I gave my LO steamed fruits and veggies... she had her 4 front teeth, but those aren't for chewing... I'm not sure where the notion that babies need teeth to chew, they don't even begin to get back teeth until around 1 year, and most have started food well before then. Steam them, cut the into manageable chunks and let baby gum away at it!

They really dont need solids, so whatever would me okay.

I did a lot of mashed potatoes with steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots (I steam they until mushy) and gravy mixed in.

Also, sweet potatoes, jelly or butter on toast, beans, vegetable soup drained, little pieces of banana, those veggie crunchy things from gerber, cheerios, goldfish, yogurt with mixed fruit, cucumber skinned and into little pieces, rice, pieces of dinner rolls.....um.....I think thats pretty much all he was into at that age...

Mmmm at 8 months she loved (and still does) gerber yogurt bites, gerber cheese crunchies..I cut up grapes (now I give them to her whole, with her giant 12 teeth!!) oatmeal (the yummy kind! She eats 3-4 bites I eat the rest..) cheese sticks, she loves broccoli, cous cous, pasta... Banana! Clementines, wheat thins

Eta she didn't really eat any of this aside from the gerber things until closer to 10 months
