re: Do you think I'm being over protective?

You sound like my sil, who has been in therapy for about 2-3 years now, cause she stopped letting her kids do things cause she was afraid of getting sick, the kids getting sick etc.......
Its crazy how many ppl are like this and a Dr actually sends them to therapy cause the thoughts and actions are considered not rational thoughts. When it starts to take over everyones lives (cancelling the party, not letting them go out etc....) it becomes an illness within itself.
Do I think its too much yes.

Ordinarily, I would say yes. BUT... this year, the flu and crud and all... it's been TERRIBLE. Julia's already had a really bad cold/fever, and right after I wouldn't take her anywhere, not even church. I did take her to family's house next door but noone was sick aside from asthma/allergy problems. So, no. I understand and you just have to use your best judgement. I'd rather be called overprotective than have my child get sick again while they're getting over another sickness.
