re: Do you think I'm being over protective?

Honestly, what are you going to do when they go to school? You're going to have to send them even if the flu or something is going around..... better for them to build immunity now.

I'm more concerned about the flu

I'm under protective I guess. I never wipe down anything and seldom use hand sanitizer. it's good for them to be exposed to germs. it actually makes.them healthier

The chances of them getting the flu from playing in a bounce house is slim to none, seriously.

Same here! I pretty much never do that. Except washing hands after the bathroom. I never take medicine and the kids don't get medicine very often either.

Good thing MIL is not the mom and you get to make the decisions. lol We avoid the park like the plague rite now. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and not about to risk anything major coming into the home especially rite now. We don't avoid family gatherings and we still go out of course but just practice healthy hygiene while out and tell DD not to put her hands in her mouth.

I don't either. I have a shopping cart cover that I got for my baby shower though, so I use that for DD. But I don't wipe down tables and smurf

I said nothing about avoiding colds.
I cancelled my sons party because most of the people who were going to come either had the flu, just got over it (it still takes days to not be contagious anymore) or where in the house with the people who had it. A few of my friends had strep.

thank God someone else is like me. I get crap all the time because I don't use medicines with my kids. I let fevers, coughs, colds etc fix themselves sans medicine

I'm going to give them their flu shots and hope it covers the strand that's going around. I got my shot but I don't want them having theirs this young.
