I have no idea what to expect with this after LO is born.
When do they do it? How long does it take? How do you take care of it? How long does it take to heal?

My sons was done the day we left the hospital at 2 days old. They gave me a ointment to put on it and after a piece of gauze for the first day . After the first day no gauze just the ointment or vaseline until its healed. Put alot or the skin will stick to the diaper. Don't use wipes till it heals. It took about a week to be completely healed but they told me I would heal after 2-3 weeks.

They did it when my son was a little less then a day old.
They used this thing called the bell.I'm not sure where all uses it, but all you have to do up until the bell falls off is wipe it clean with water. It's a little plastic looking ring.

It sounds like you haven't done much research. You don't have to cut your baby. And there are many good reasons. Read all of the pages of this article if you want to make an informed decision.

I know I don't have to do it, but we want to. And I'm letting my SO have a little more say in it then I do, and he's dead set on it. But thank you.

I circed my oldest but I was single, when I got preg with my 2nd son, my husband was adamant about it... we just found out he was a boy and during ultrasound, my husband was like I want him circumcised, I was like ok can I get off this table 1st lol

I'm not trying to offend anyone but just because we don't have penises doesn't mean we can't make the decision. And when men are circumcised, if they haven't done adequate research, they tend to want their boys circd too because they believe it is a good tradition.
