Is the Metformin still working???

Hey everyone! It has been a while since I've logged on here. I hope everyone is doing well   I am finally "actively" TTC now and I have so many questions. I hope you ladies can give me some input.

I have PCOS and I started taking Metformin around the end of Sept 2012. I started AF about a month later. So I was becoming "regular" if you want to call it that. My first AF was 29 days and my second AF was 27 days. I bought some OPK's and could clearly see when I was O'ing. Well that brings me to now... December was our first good month of TTC. Now I know it doesn't always happen on the first try, but I am soooo confused. I had some really dark positive OPK's and pretty much assumed I O'd around Christmas Eve. If that was when I O'd I would be about 13 DPO today. I took a HPT yesterday and the day before and they look neg. However the one from the day before looked questionable but I think it was wishful thinking.

Here is the thing that is confusing me... I have no BIG symptoms. My bbs usually hurt like no ones business right before AF and right now, NOTHING! They aren't swollen, tender, or anything. That is totally weird for me. The only thing I notice is a semi sharp pain go through them from time to time. Not a lot though. I am bloated, a little crampy from time to time, bad back ache, and noticing ovary pain switching from side to side and maybe a little tired.

So, is the Metformin still working? Am I becoming irregular again? Could I still be pregnant and it not show up on a test? I am so confused... I feel like I should have started AF by now if I wasn't pregnant. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!  

I say get a blood test. I was put on b/c and metformin for one cycle then did opk testing. I got pendant right away after Tycho with no help for a year.

Can I call the doctor and request a blood test? Or does he have to request it? I've never done that before. The metformin has really helped me. I have started to become regular (up until now ?) and I have also lost some weight with it. I'm just confused. Could I be pregnant without many symptoms?

They might if you tell them you had a test that looked possibly positive and you wasn't to make sure you one way or another.
