Quoting Olivia Foxworth:" I have an appointment tomorrow, my Ankle is messed up and it hurts to walk or rotate it. I made this ... [snip!] ... pretty well) or would you ask for a sitter (mom and dad will watch them if I ask, I just don't like to ask all the time)?"
I live 2 hours from all of my family, so I never have any choice other than taking DD everywhere I go, and that includes all doc apts. She's fascinated by everything the doctor does, so she's always excited to go, and my doc office is wonderful, they always give her a pen and paper and a lollipop and tell her how adorable she is- she just eats it up LOL I had to go to the ER a few nights ago because I've been really sick and the nurse had to draw blood- She asked if DD wanted to leave the room (with my boyfriend) and she preferred to stay right there and watch. She was amazed by it and asking the lady questions lol. She's almost 4, so I was amazed she was okay with it. It's a little inconvenient but you do what you have to do, ya know?
