I didn't have many visitors with my last. I was so exhausted from the csection and the constant breastfeeding i was hardly able to keep my eyes open. I had maybe 3 visitors the whole 3 days.

At my hospital you can have one person of your choosing who can come and go anytime between the hours of 9am to 9pm and then you can have a handful of visitors in the 2 hour time slot. They are quite strict about it too which I liked, I could have had much more visitors than what I did have but I really wanted to recuperate and bond...... The first day I got home I had everyone round though and it was lovely as everyone could enjoy it then and I wasn't stressed   I am the same way with others now though because I understand and I will say let me know when you are ready for visitors, don't want to intrude! People appreciate the thought.

HA, i wanted noone and EVERYONE showed up. I didnt even tell anyone but my parents and my inlaws then it was like a party. NOT this time lol i will not allow it!

I just had my first daughter 3 months ago and i had SOO many visitors.. I didn't really think about it before i gave birth. I wish i had only allowed my closest family and friends to come though.. I literally had people there allll day both days that i was in the hospital. It was really overwhelming. Next time i have a baby i am telling everyone they can come visit at my house a week after i give birth

I don't mind anyone coming the very next day, but the day of, I'm off limits. That's just bonding time between me and my immediate family.

I know I don't want a lot of visitors before and after. I want my SO & I to have our own bonding time with our son and I'm sure we'll be overwhelmed with everything and trying to learn. It's fine if our parents want to visit but I really don't want them to think it's okay to be up there constantly. Which I feel is going to happen. They both already act like they're getting split custody or something. It's annoying & he's not even here yet. And I have no friends so that's just less people to stress over trying to interrupt.

i have no friends this time around either. last time i had just graduated high school and so many people just showed up. and SO's good friends live like 1.5-2 hours away so i doubt they'll be coming.

andddd my parents have to watch LO and i know they'll visit but LO probably won't want to be in the hospital for very long.

I had so much visitors I felt so loved and appreciate each and everyone of them but I was so tired! My family, DH's family, my close friends and DH's friends.
