Sterilizing toys.
posted 6th Jan
I have a 9 month old son, and I was wondering how you ladies safely clean your LO's toys. I heard I could use diluted bleach in the sink, but then someone told me that wasn't safe. Most are not dishwasher safe...
Help would be appreciated.
TIA

At the daycare I work at they spray everything down with lysol ha. I never sanitized my daughters toys, I fail.

I worked at a daycare too and they did the same thing. I have the time to do it so I may as well figure out a method and system.
My stove isn't working right so I can't even boil them. ):

When I worked in day care, we put them in water with a tiny bit of bleach and then air dried them.
Having my own, I just wipe them down with a lysol wipe and let dry.

you could try vinegar if you're worried about bleach being too harsh. it disinfects, but maybe not sterilizes... idk.

I use clorox wipes and then run them under water or wash them with a wash cloth, Then air dry them.

I would not use bleach on my daughter's toys. I would not use lysol either. We make our own cleaning products & I clean her toys with my vinegar/water/tea tree oil mixture. Rinse them & then put them out in the sun.

At the preschool I worked at it was a 5 minute soak in a light bleach solution then a rinse and air dry.
