Thinking

posted 6th Jan
I split up with DD's father a couple of weeks ago. I still love him but I haven't been 'in love' with him for a looong time. So I have a male friend who I have known for two years, always texts me etc. And now I'm single he's made it clear he likes me and always has. And yeah, I have a crush on him and he makes me feel butterflies etc... But is it too soon to get involved with someone? Would it just be a rebound thing? I don't know whether to get involved or not. Although it seems I already kind of am...

Everyone one moves on in there own time. If you feel like you're ready go for it. You guys can go on a date and go from there. Some people may judge you but honestly who cares?

If you feel ready, go for it. Technically, my current relationship would be considered a "rebound", but we don't see it that way.

Even though you just broke up a couple weeks ago, you say you haven't felt anything for him in a long time. ---- So, it could very well be that you're ready to move on & move past your last relationship.

Still, if you're worried, I would seriously just take it slow. Hang out w/each other. Go on a couple dates alone. Do a couple of things together w/DD (to see how they interact). And just see where things lead

No sense ruining a good friendship on an impulse.

Yeah, I might just meet up and see how it goes but I don't want to rush into anything after how crappy the last relationship was...

Thanks
