HELP!? ER or not?

posted 6th Jan
My son is 4 and about 30-45 minutes ago he was playing and fell off the couch and hit his head on the coffee table. This is what it looks like.

I checked his eyes and they are fine and he isnt trying to sleep or anything but do i need to bring him to the ER? I'm freaking out.

I wouldn't unless he starts getting lethargic. You will sit there for hours for them to tell you it's a bump and there is nothing they can do.

If he's acting fine, I would not go to the er, but do make sure you ice it.

If he starts acting funny, or really lethargic then yes. If not, just keep and eye on him.

I would put ice on it and hang out at home. I don't think the ER will do much for that. Unless he's falling asleep, or showing signs of a concussion I wouldn't go.

Right after it happened i made him put ice on it and hes still holding it on there. It scared me because he fell and i ran over there and said his name and he didnt answer and then i picked him up and asked him if he was okay and he said yeah and then started crying.

Earlier this summer my son got taken out with a croquet mallot, whose idea it was to let a bunch of kids under 5 play with those needs to be slapped, but he got hit right in the temple, and I called the nurse line at his pediatrics office and they told me to watch out for no comprehensive behavior, for him, and make sure he's still acting okay, and himself..Nd if anything happens from that bring him in...I also had my cousin who is a nurse check his pupils
