selling question

i hope this all makes sense. We're a little strapped for cash and were thinking on selling DD's bumbo seat. only thing is, its the kind that got recalled (with the tray but no buckle). would it be wrong or would we get in any kind of trouble for selling it online? to someone local. and how much would you sell it for?

I believe that it is illegal to resell a recalled item but with the bumbo chair it is a voluntary recall and they are not to be returned to stores you are supposed to call and get the free parts to fix it and instructions for it. http://www.recall.bumbousa.com/

I wouldn't be selling it if it got recalled. I'd find other items to sell.

It wasn't recalled.. You just need to order the repair kit from Bumbos website

I don't think you can get in trouble for that....there is a # you can call to get a kit to fix the issue....But I am not sure how much you can sell it for....I have seen new ones for about 25 around here for the basic one.
SN-I think the recall was stupid...I had a bumbo for my son, and I never had any type of issue with it whatsoever. I know so many people that have them and they didn't have problems either...I think it was people putting their kids in it on elevated places and walking away from them.....IMO

Used bumbos go for like $20 and under.There isnt a lot of value in them.

Really?? Full refund even if it wasn't purchased at walmart?
I liked ours a lot ..2.5 years ago. I wouldn't mind getting the updated seats

yes even if you didnt buy it there or even if you bought it used off a selling site. since it had a recall they have to refund it

It was a voluntary recall they didnt give refunds you were to call the manufacturer and get sent the seatbelt to install it.

Walmart gave full refunds to thousands of people

walmarts gave probably millions of refunds , anything that is recalled you get a full refund by store or manufacuter , I know quiet a few people who took there bumbos back either with or without the seatbelt put on an they all got full refunds.

yes without a recipt , some even bought it off garage sale sites before the recall
