Get the phone book and call around. See who is taking new patients

Check online for OB/GYN's that accept your insurance.
Ask your friends that are pregnant.
Ask family.
Heck you could probably even as a last resort call the local hospital where you plan to deliver and ask them for a recommendation.

Not too sure how it works in the US, but your GP should have a list of OB's in the area and what hospital they have privledges at.

Call your insurance and ask for a list of OB's in your area. Start calling them tomorrow.

I started out by going to the Hospital that I wanted website and requested for a listof OBs that were accepting new patients with my insurance
My first OB I hated so I switched around 18 weeks, my econd office closed down when I was 28 weeks (the owner died and his wife abruptly closed the practice)

I had to switch because my ob decided she was retiring in the middle of my pregnancy! I loved my new one even more and he will be delivering this baby too. It seems overwhelming right now but it's not as bad as you think. They won't see you because you missed one appointment???

Best bet is to call your insurance, they will tell you who is in your network!! And usually if you call a Dr. and they aren't accepting new patients they could even recommend one to you! Good Luck!!
