please help

these awful drop down cots need banning from the UK, i cant for the life of me think of a legitimate reason to why they haven't been yet, the USA have so now its time to follow in there foot steps

Okay, so I bought one of these for DD and i had no idea about this!!!

It was a second hand one but nearly new, only been used for a week so no guarantee... I don't mind about the money though as long as DD is safe!

They are not banned in australia.
And that was a freak accident, really if her head was stuck between bars that could happen in ANY cot.

they should be, not the bars hun, the side dropped down trapping her head between the side bit, mattress and bedding the poor child suffocated, and its happened to too many others to just be a freak accident

ive never heard of the side dropping down by itself.
we usually left the side of ours down anyway, at that age jasper would just climb out when he woke up so we never saw the point in having it up. We have a drop down side for bubs number 2 but ill probably do the same thing.
