When do they typically do the test? I've heard alot about how I'm at risk for it because of the amount of weight I gained so quickly, plus I have a few signs of it. I'm just wondering. Also, is this the one where you have to pee in a jug for 24 hours, or is that a different one?

On a plus side...22 weeks and 1 day today! Around here, they'll attempt life sustaining measures at this point, although her chances wouldn't be good. Being as I've only made it to 18 weeks before this, everything is a hurdle to me, and so far Ms. Aubrey is still securely in there   But with having never made it this far, IDK what to expect really as far as tests go and stuff.

I did mine at 27 weeks. I have never taken a test where you pee in a jug for 24 hours. Its the blood test where you have to drink the nasty sugary crap and get your blood drawn 3 times, every hour. Once when you get there, once an hour after the drink, and once an hour after that before you leave. Good luck hun, and I hope it goes well for you!

they do the 1 hour glucose test between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy. you drink a sweet drink they give you, then they take your blood one hour later. you're not allowed to eat or drink anything (even water) in that hour, and no gum chewing. i just had mine a couple weeks ago and my number was high, so i have to go back for the 3 hour. blah. for the 3 hour, you have to fast for awhile, then go and drink the stuff and they take your blood a few times. idk if you have to drink the drink more than once, too, but... oh well.

neither one of these are where they make you pee in a jug all day.

You should have testing between 24-28 weeks. I had mine at 28. No pee required for this test, just your blood.
