can't drink water?

posted 6th Jan
Okay so I haven't really not been able to eat certain foods at all during my pregnancy except for some reason this past week I can't drink water or I throw up. I have tried tap water and bottled water. I can if I add some lemon to it so it hasn't really been a problem as far as not drinking enough except today I have bad heart burn and the lemon makes it worse. Im trying to think of some other way to get enough water with out getting a bunch of caffeine or sugar but Im coming up with nothing. Any ideas?

If my stomache is acidy I cant drink water either. Is that the problem? I have to take Zantac (well now that I'm hospitalized I get Pepcid since that's what their pharmacy here has).

I dont know about the ingredients but what about propel zero? At least to start? Anytime ive wanted to get away from pop and drink more water ive started by buying the propel zero and then i kept a glass of water inthe fridge and drank the water throughout the day until i got used to the taste and actually craved it.

I don't think that's it. Just the thought of drinking plain water just groses me out for some reason.

You can always try to do a flavored water or gatorade. You should also try taking something for your heartburn like tums so you can get the water you need down. It is very important that you keep hydrated during pregnancy to keep you and baby healthy. It can also cause some pain and/or BH if you are too dehydrated. Hope you get to feeling better

Milk will help with the heartburn if you're not lactose intolerant. And there are things out there like Crystal Light and Mio that will flavor your water.

Thanks ladies. Ill try some crystal light. This is just so weird since I usually drink tons of water and now can't stand it.

Pregnancy is always weird. Next week you may want nothing but water!

I'm pretty sure crystal light has aspartame sweetener though. It's not good for you especially during preg.

I'd do some Gatorade too.

This!

Aspartame isn't good for you to have try to find something other than that to drink. Read th ingredients and if there is aspartame stay away from it.
