Spoiled?

posted 6th Jan
My daughter is 15mo and will scream bloody murder and try to push me away from the sink the whole timeI do dishes, and does the same thing when I clean. (the whole house is a constant wreck!) She can NOT stand to not be the center of my attention 24/7. So how do I get her to stop, I am 19 wks preg and can not hold her all day/play in the floor with her all day. I have put her in her bed with the lights on hoping she would play and stop screaming, which totally made it worse. Suggestions? Should I put her in a "time out" in her bed when she does that, or is she to young?

My 15 month old son does that a lot.

I always redirect first.

If that doesn't work I know that he's ready for a nap/bed time.

His is usually when I'm cooking/cleaning and it's because he wants to help or be able to watch the food cook lol

She loves to watch me cook, and likes to be held while I'm doing dishes and cooking (her dad holds her to watch me sometimes). She doesn't do it because she is tired though, it can be ANYTIME during the day even afer getting up from a nap. It's SOO frustrating.

I could only imagine.

When SO isn't home it's actually easier for me because I can put him in the living room with the baby channel on and he'll play with his toys.

I know quiet a few people who started 'time outs' at 18 months.

Okay, thanks   She likes to watch Sesame St, but as soon as I get up to go clean something she follows right behind me and starts screaming until I pick her up. I would LOVE for her to sit and play for even 20 min! I didn't want to start time outs if she wasn't old enough to understand why. I wasn't sure what they can understand at that age.....apparently she was smart enough to figure out how to get her way though!LOL. When I put her in her bed for a time out last time, she would scream so loud and long that she would end up puking and then REALLY get mad   I just really don't know what to do with her. *sigh*
