UGH. Help.

How the HELL do I keep my cat from turning psycho, running through the house, and then on top of our TV stand and damn near knocking over our $1300 TV, as well as our very expensive xbox?!

I seriously stopped breathing when I saw it teeter back and forth. I can't spray him with the water bottle when he's up there, obviously. Yelling and saying no doesn't work. He looks at me and meows. So I get up and go towards him, and he'll finally jump down. Then proceeds to get RIGHT the smurf back up there. He's knocked the xbox over while we were sleeping one night.... I had to walk out of the room before I turned into the hulk.

Is this just a lost cause? I love my cat, but these smurfing hyper spurts are going to cost us $2,000 in electronics.

You can't. Cats are psychotic.

Can.you put foil.on.it or no?

mount your tv! especially that you're ttc..babies can tip them too.

other than that..maybe get him neutured?

eta: they sell mounts that connect to your tv.stand so you don't have to.do it on the wall..or straps that hold the.tv base.down onto the stand.

The xbox is on the left side, upright. And the chargers with charging port are right next to it. The kinect is center in front of the TV, on the top. Ignore the PS2 on the right side... that's no longer there

My heart is pounding right now. I'm livid. SO said if the xbox or TV is knocked over.... he's chucking the cat off the balcony. He won't actually do that, but he's pissed.

My TV is at a weird angle... we have to have the TV stand diagonal, because of the layout of the room. See picture for explanation   I don't think they have wall mounts for the corner, do they?

Do you think velcro would work for the xbox? Like put a few strips on the bottom so that it sticks to the TV stand? Do you think the sticky side of the velcro would mess up the TV stand... like pull paint/stain?

Supposedly they don't like the noise/feel of it on their paws. I meant to put it on a part of my wall that he favors scratching, but never got around to it. I need to try it.
