Why does that have to be the final straw? Why isn't this enough? I'm not saying that you can pull a million bucks out of your ass, but you can't look at it like that. I would seriously look into local shelters, your credit can be repaired.

So because your mother said no, you're going to punish yourself and your family and settle for violence and misery? How would you feel if he escalated tot he point where he abused your children and you hadn't gotten out when you knew it was bad. You can say he'd never do that all day but he's willing to hurt the mother of his children, what makes you think he will stop there?

So a few months from now will be different and you will leave? If it were that easy, why haven't you already done that. It kind of sounds like your lacking the motivation to actually change your situation. You're miserable and scared, but will defend him when people tell you that you should leave immediately. I understand that abusive relationships are hard and complicated, but no one is going to come in and make it easier to get out out. It's only going to get harder.

A shelter would be better than that. Staying in a shelter generally bumps you to the top of the wait list for housing, which you can still get without a job.

how? idk, I know a lot of women who have them. I lived in a section 8 apartment for a year, I had a job but not everyone that lived there did. There is so much help & programs out there for single mothers.

A woman's advocate can help you find a place to stay, they can help you find a job. They can help with transportation, daycare... Pretty much everything. That's why I posted earlier and asked if there was one where you live.
