c section incision question

posted 6th Jan
I'm 2 weeks pp and when I just got up with DD I noticed I have a very sharp pain when I move on the left side of my incision. It is pretty painful. Can it have come open a little? I was feeling fine before I went to bed

Have you checked if it's open or bleeding? I had pain after mine for like two months afterwards, my recovery was ridiculous. Mine did open. If your does, you'll need to get checked out asap because risk for infection is high.

The pain at the incision can be normal and can feel different as it begins to heal as well. It is possible for it to come open a little but not likely. Can you use a makeup mirror and take a look at it?

I haven't looked at it.. I just got back in bed lol. But I haven't had pain for awhile. I've even drove and gone places and walked around a lot and it didn't hurt. Its like all of a sudden in one spot

Hm, I honestly don't know much, but do think it's normal. The pain will last awhile, and come and go as well. If it doesn't seem right or gets worse, maybe just call for a check up? Good luck- I hope it didn't open up!

Even with those on you would still see some blood. I would check again in the morning to see if there is.

Are the steri strips dry? If it was open at all you would have seeping going on.

Hey I had the same exact pain on my right side, and its a little tender still if I try to get up sometimes. I am 2 weeks and 4 days PP now. There's a couple things it could be, my OB told me. 1) it could be from the spot where they finished the stitches on the inside. That area can get very sensitive and tender because they really gotta sew it up well. or 2) it can be a build up of some scar tissue, or a combination of both. I am pretty certain its a combination of both for me, because right where the sharp pain is, I have a hard knot underneath my incision. Its been getting better, not as much pain, and the knot has gone down, so I don't think its anything to worry about.
