posted 6th Jan
Ok dd just got 4 teeth in 2 weeks so shes just figuring them out shes grinding them. I cant take this noise, but anyways she grinds my nipple when she nurses and bites now this just happened for the first time an hour ago and it is still sending sharp pains all over my body I screamed because it hurt and now were both to scared to go back to it. What do I do.   shes 9 months. Im in pain. Im really scared to go back more so than her I believe even though she wont go near me.

Read this on biting & how to handle it. Most moms get bit at least once, but it normally is VERY resolvable.

The good part is that she is 9 months and not 4 months. The hard part is that you have to be brave and go back at it. You can say before you start, no biting or no ouchie. When she bites again, you have to just be prepared and not scream. If she is still latched then push her face into your breast so that she will have to unlatch to breathe. Then say no biting, and give her a little time to realize that you aren't nursing her. Put her back on and repeat if necessary. Best of luck mama!

Yah, well sometime they chomp when falling asleep like that reflex that makes you have that falling feeling & you jerk. :/ Just unlatch her as soon as she seems asleep if you can.
