Well she started talking about spelling and if u look on baby name websites that name is on there spelt the way I have it spelt and in numerous other ways. She wants to talk about spelling she should look in a dictionary and practice what she preaches

Yeah, we're all about spelling names right here on BG.
It doesn't change the way the name SOUNDS to spell it horribly, so there's no sense in doing so. It's still the same name, it just makes your child's life more difficult in having to correct everyone's spelling all the time, and not having their teachers (or bosses someday) know how to pronounce their name.

If I was an employer and saw that, I wouldn't call them for an interview simply because I couldn't pronounce it by reading it.

You look like a dumbass right now. Please stop.

Most baby sites, people can add whatever name they want. So... really?

yes, because misspelling Ducky for a user name, is EXACTLY like pulling a spelling out of my ass and smacking it on a poor innocent child, who will have to live with it until she's at least 18.

My kids names are spelled perfectly. I didn't look at a baby site to know how to spell them, I'm smart enough to know the english language and what is and is not the way a name is spelled.

How I choose to spell my user name, is not the same, dumb ass!

And ur views of spelling ur children's name perfectly is a matter of opinion other people may not think the same. And that makes u look like a fool saying you wouldn't hire someone whose name u couldn't pronounce. Are u able to pronounce individuals names from different races properly highly doubtful so you are saying if someone's name is not "white" you wouldn't hire then. And FYI my child is not white.

Omg shut up. The name SUCKS and isn't some ethnic name that would be understandably difficult to pronounce. It's just a horrible name.

No, I'm not saying that at all. Race has not smurf to do with it. I've met tons of other races that I can pronounce their name, because they're phonetically correct. Or I can at least attempt, and typically people with a foreign name expect it to be mispronounced in the United States. That's not the same as naming your kid a regular name and spelling it like smurf because you want to be different. That doesn't make me look like a fool. Spelling your kids name like that makes you look like one.

I would spell the middle name Ida May or Ida Mae. I had the same issue with DD's middle name. I decided I didn't want to give her a made up name to have it be one name so I gave her two. Plus it just makes you look illiterate and uneducated unfortunately.
