If he was acting like that, I wouldn't want to have another kid with him....end of story.

A child needs stability, if the parents don't give it to them, they get out of whack.

Give her the sippy back at night (water only), have a strict bedtime routine and maybe read the No-Cry Sleep Solution or Happiest Toddler on the Block.

I'm 33 and I hate to tell you this but most my guy friends are still drinking cod addicts. I don't think they grow up.. at least till maybe 50 yrs.

Or that is just the guys you are choosing to hang out with.

My husband, friends and family members are nothing like that all.

Sounds like a fairly typical twenty-one-years-old male, to me. Give him another decade or so.

Seriously, though... A schedule would help to ease the tension immensely. Children need some structure in their lives.

Mines 25 and plays COD non stop but since I take care of the baby all the time he can’t wait to try for a girl lol. It’s a hobby of his, how he releases stress so IDC that he plays. However I can’t believe your DH said that maybe he was just having a bad day. Also my LO is 6 months and is constantly on the boob. We have never slept through the night. He is up every 2-3 hours nursing.

Sounds like he's pretty immature and probably wasn't ready to have a baby in the first place, if his main priority in his free time is playing a video game with his homies.

What he said sounds like a basic emotional and in the moment reaction, not something genuinely thought through.

He's only 22....he's got plenty of baby-making years ahead of him and there's a huge chance he could change his mind one day. It's just a matter of how long are you willing to wait and see, I suppose.

He agreed to have a baby, the decision was 100% mutual and DD was planned.   That's why I get so frustrated with him.

She's on a schedule right now. I just meant it's our fault she still can't sleep all night because it took us so long to get her on one. I feel like a piece of smurf.

My husband is twenty-seven and works full-time and attends university to become a mechanical engineer. He actually works from his physics books for fun! He is a math wiz. He has never enjoyed video games.

I, on the other hand, DO enjoy a good RPG on occasion.

Everybody matures in their own time...or not at all. Haha

I like video games, too. I actually like to play COD. But not all the time... it's not my top priority every day, kwim?

I think she meant that he wasn't completely prepared to deal with the consequences of his decision... I don't think she assumed that your child together wasn't properly planned.
