bleeding before a BFP?

I'm not really TTC... but I want to see if anyone has had this happen or not..

So my last period was Dec. 9th
Had sex on Dec 27th and I thought I may have been ovulating but I wasn't sure
Had sex again on Dec. 31st.
Started spotting on Jan. 1st and it got heavier Jan 2nd-4th.. today was just a little spotting again. And for the most part it looked like "old" blood... mostly brown and darkish red. I THOUGHT it was implantation bleeding at first but now I don't know. I just don't know what else it would have been other thank my period.. but my period isn't even due yet. My cycles have been 30-40 days lately and I started bleeding on day
24/25.. this is just so weird to me.

Anyone have this happen and end up being pregnant? Or just have this happen at all?

Honestly sometimes our bodies do weird things and start AF early.
It could be implantation, it could be ovulation bleeding. But it could just be AF visiting early.

Sounds like a sketchy period to me but I would give it some time and test

It was a super light period if that's what it was. Plus I have NEVER gotten my period early. Its just so strange! I'll probably test in a week or so just to see.
