Twins might be cute but, it is very hard on them. People group them together as a package all the time. I have to be honest as well, sometimes I wish I had them one at a time so I had those extra moments of just one and I like I do with my son. I fear that I fail one of them all the time on attention and meeting needs.

At the end of the day, my prayers were answered and I am not one to question the method just be thankful! lol

aww I never thought of it that way My SO does have twin cousins but I used to think that it was because of the guy.. but its if you release 2 eggs right? His twin cousins are identical

Fraternal is hyperovulation (releasing more than one egg at a time) and that is a gene that can only affect the woman (obviously). Identicals are still medically unknown. There are plenty of "theories" but nothing proven.

My mother is a fraternal twin. My second cousins (mom's first cousins on her mothers side) are fraternal twins and oddly enough, even her dad's side is riddled with twins (two sets of identicals and one fraternal). I swear, they are everywhere on my mom's side of the family.

I was the lucky one that got them out of the three of us girls from my mom. There is no "skipping" a generation with the gene. It is there when it is there.

Oh ok hmm. well my parents had 6 kids and 2 had kids.. my sis and other sis my 2 bros and other sis didnt have kids and i havent yet. But my mom was adopted and so she didnt know her family history
