Working

posted 5th Jan
I'm only making this post because I'm currently at work and bored.

Do you work? How many hours a week and is this considered full or part time? Do you have a degree that is related to your line of work? Are you in a job where you are working your way up the ladder or did you jump in at an upper level?

How much do you earn now? How much are you expecting to earn in 12 months time? If you're expecting a pay increase is this due to college education or 'in-house' work education?

They are but I wish I'd find some money stashed in their diaper sometimes.

I work 3 12-hour shifts per week. It is considered full-time. I have an Associate's in Nursing (RN) and a Bachelor's in Nursing in progress. I'd rather not discuss my pay, but it's below the national average.

I put pay in a separate section because I know a lot of people don't like to discuss their finances on the web

Do you work? am currently not working, I had planned on resuming work over my christmas break but my mom has had two surgeries in the last two months, and has had a lot of appointments she needed transport too, and has a bunch coming up, so rather than pissing them off and not being able to work a whole bunch of days I just told them I will resume work when I tell them I am able.
How many hours a week and is this considered full or part time? When I did it was 16 hours a week, PT. At my job 32 hours a week is considered full time.
Do you have a degree that is related to your line of work? I have my CNA right now. Working on my LPN
Are you in a job where you are working your way up the ladder or did you jump in at an upper level? I like climbing.

How much do you earn now? I earned 10.33 which is pretty good around here for a job that doesn't require a high school diploma, I have mine though.
How much are you expecting to earn in 12 months time? I should be making 13.50 to 14 dollars an hour after I am done with school.
If you're expecting a pay increase is this due to college education or 'in-house' work education?
College Education, I will have my AAS in Practical Nursing. They still hire LPN's here, nursing homes and hospitals. Eventually I want my RN, but I need a short break.

ETA: That pay is really low to some people, a lot of places CNA's make more than that. But it is great for here, all of our bills combined (not including car insurance, or daycare) only total $450 or so..

I work 40-60 hours a week full time. I make 13.30 a hour which isn't much but it helps me pay the bills and helps me with school. I work at a plastic factory so nothing I plan I doing for a long time just untill I'm done with college. Im in school to become a RN and currently searching for a cna job that I do not have to take a pay cut.

Mine is.

I work 40-50 hours a week full time. I work as a Customer Service Representative for an IT company and have no formal IT training. I earn $18.50 an hour and I'm hoping to have made senior and be earning $21 an hour by the end of the year. I'm going back to university this year hopefully though its to do a double degree in Archeology and Writing.

I have always loved it but put it to one side to continue a career in nursing and medical research. That all fell through in the early parts of last year, and now that I have a stable career I've decided to go back and study what's my passion.

It seems that everyone wants to get into nursing. If only they knew, lol.

I was nursing for four years before my body couldn't handle it anymore. I was devastated at the time, but I'm over it now.
