re: Nursing in Public (NIP) - Is Covering Up Necessary?

posted 5th Jan
I didn't cover with DD and I don't plan to with my son.if someone has a problem with it then they shouldn't be staring. All it takes is for them tomind their own business and they will have nothing to bitch about

I think someone should nurse however they are comfortable. Whether that be covered or not covered. A mom shouldn't be forced to cover up while feeding her child just because someone is uncomfortable with a child being fed. And it isn't a big talk you have to have with your kid. I breastfed uncovered around my friends and family and their kids would ask what I would doing and they would just explain that I was feeding my daughter and that was that. It is completely natural.

babies need to eat, nurse wherever you want! i do however feel like women should cover themselves while feeding to be considerate of others who dont want to be accidently flashed if the baby pulls away or that awkward start/end of feeding. if a lady is bfing and is covered, noone should have any reason to complain about it. I just know that i dont want to see stranger boob because a baby turns away in the middle of feeding, and i know that if i was bfing, i wouldnt want strangers to see my boob!

I think I'll start doing my satanic naked rain dance and start squirting milk all over the place next time and begin my summons for Beelzebub

You see in a VS ad, what you see in a bathing suit. And that is something that people and parents can control whether or not is around.

When breastfeeding more will be shown and sometimes, nipple cannot be avoided. And there is a difference between seeing something in a photo or online or on TV and then seeing it in front of you in person.

I cover in public but that's my preference, I'd rather people not see my breasts because my LO pulls off the boob all the time. Other mothers I don't care if they use one or not. If momma and baby are comfortable then whatever.

Lmao.
I guess my daughter knows about boobs, when I have a baby she will know they are more than just her boobie pillows. If I feed my child in public I am not doing it to flash my "tits" all over the place. And you have just as much chance at flashing a boob with a cover on.

I don't care if someone is covered or not. Their baby has to eat.

You know my daughter refused to latch if she was covered. She would kick and scream and cry fling the cover off. My breast was very exposed. Cover went away and problem done. If she unlatched my hand covered my nipple until she wanted it back or I pulled my shirt down some. No one should be paying that much attention to my child feeding that they see my nipple if she unlatches for a minute. If you want to cover yourself then by all means go ahead but why should i make myself and my child miserable because you might accidentally see my breast?
