I normally don't go under 300 thread count. I'm not picky about the type of fabric either. They all feel the same to me.I usually pay $40 for a set of sheets I think

Best ones I ever got we're organic 300 thread count from target. Maybe it was 350.

I paid $300 for my duvet and I LOVE it. As for sheets just go off what feels good to you. Go to like JCPenny, Macy's, BedBathBeyond and feel them and see what you like. For a Cal King I can pay about $200 for a decent sheet set. My last sets were $250 I got them on clearance for $99.

go for the egyptian cotton, my sheet set for a king size bed was around $125. they wanted another $60 for the bedskirt that matched the sheets exactly, but I found one at target for $10 that does the job just fine lol

Do you find your duvet is warm in the winter (Where I live, our temps get to -55 degrees celcius in the winter time, and our little comforter just isn't doing it anymore...lol) and how is it in the summer? Do you still use it? Or pack it away?

In the summer it just stays at the foot of my bed and if I need it I pull it up. We sleep with the windows open in the spring/summer. It keep me plenty warm in the winter but we only get down to MAYBE 35 fahrenheit
