Really? I had mine csection and still had 4-6 weeks.

Hmm i bled slightly less than 4 weeks last time. I think it was closer to 3 weeks. I didn't notice a huge difference between vaginal delivery and c-section bleeding. It always seemed to go on forever. lol

I'm a bleeder in general. I lost more blood than they wanted with my D&C and my csection. It was light and intermittent for weeks 4-6 though. They are pretty anti unneeded stuff at my hospital/ob office so they may not have cleaned stuff out more than just baby and placenta.

Yeah, some docs do and some don't (some say they feel the bleeding helps keep infection out by moving things outward faster.

Just what my doc told me. My live births were 7 weeks for my 40 weeker and just shy of 5 weeks for my 23 weeker.

I do remember standing up in my hospital room a few hours after delivery and gushing blood all over the floor. I think that was after my vbac. They've all sortof mushed together at this point. I was so embarrassed.

My 23 weeker was the 9 weeks pp bleeding. That one had to be monitored with U/S because I had left over tissue and clots.

I had no tissue (never have, thank God!), but I hemorrhaged after my 15 weeker and needed methergine shots. Only bled 10 days with that one---my shortest other than the 2 very early losses (both 7 days of bleeding)

Have you noticed that post partum periods ... well.. obviously not right now for you .. lol ... but my periods have been extremely heavy since I had my youngest. My miscarriage was early so i bled slightly over a week. It was pretty comparable to a heavy period for me.

Sigh... no 2 day periods for me i guess.. ever.

Mine are shorter and less painful than before I had kids, actually. 4-5 days and moderate flow and cramping can be handled with Tylenol now (I used to take Vicodin or Percocet and bled like a pig for 6-7 days

Now i'm jealous, although my periods were never that painful. Now for about 3 or 4 days, I have to wear a tampon and a pad and I have to make sure I change everything once an hour or so or I bleed through everything. It's a pain the rear. I've been pregnant so much the past 5 years .. maybe I just don't remember what periods are like. lol

I bled for a year after my daughter, nearly 3 months with my son, had check ups after check ups and they think im a bleeder but saying that im 3 weeks after adn ive nearly finished so hopefully this times different, I was told there would be a period of at least a week or so of not bleeding before you get a period, i dont know if thats true or not but you are ment to notice a difference.
