That's smurfed up.  

Maybe she has a reason she just can't say? Things change very fast...maybe she can't offer an explanation right now.

Eh I feel like there is probably a lot more to this story than what we see.

I think it's a human reaction to want to offer your home to someone when they're in need, but when the reality sets in that someone you met online will be staying in your house, or your husband/boyfriend/whoever isn't okay with it....then you look bad.

I think I'd have to know more about the story to be upset at her for backing out.

Obviously the girl was in need and it would have been a wonderful fix for her if she could stay with the other BG member, but do we know why she backed out? I think that would determine whether or not it's something to "hate" her over.

It gets worse...

Sarah offered to pay for groceries (for both families), pay part of the utilities, have her husband fix their electrical problems, AND pitch in with chores around the house to make sure that they were not adding to the stress of the house. She had even offered to help with LD's youngest because apparently he's attached to her hip and it's hard to get stuff done with him clinging to her.

She wasn't trying to free load. She was offered a place to stay and had said that she would return the favor by helping out and suddenly LD is trying to make it out like she's a freeloader.

Boooo.

She backed out because she bitched about her husband's abusive behavior on FB, Sarah told her that she needed to get out before it escalated, and her husband saw it and now doesn't like Sarah for giving her opinion. That's why she backed out and made it sound like Sarah was going to be mooching off of them.

It's nice that she offered to do things for her, but again, having another family in your home is a lot more than just saying "yes". It effects other people, and there may be a lot more to this story. I doubt she would offer her home just for the ability to say no and make her "friend" out to be a free loader, that just doesn't make sense. So it seems to me like a big piece of this puzzle is missing.
