My little story(:

I haven't been on in forever, but I thought I should share some things and maybe I'll be helpful to someone! And if not, it gives me a chance to share everything.(:
Since my last post, we've found out that we're having a girl and have decided to name her Bayleigh Jo. She's due on May 12th and I couldn't be more excited. I know things are going to be difficult and they already are. Because my dad is very unsupportive, my mom drives 400 miles to take me to doctor's appointments. Her support and advice has been such a help.. so the Mom Of The Year award should probably go to her. I know a lot of people say that teen dads wont stick around or whatever, but I couldnt ask for a better boyfriend. He too lives 400 miles away and manages to come back for my appointments and things also. Anytime that I would visit and be sick, he'd be right there helping me(I didnt have morning sickness, I had 24/7 sickness) He talks about Bayleigh constantly and has all of the ultrasound pictures. Sometimes I think he's more excited than I am- so not all guys are total jerks. The comments at school and things have kind of died down thankfully. Everyone on my dad's side refuses to even acknowledge that I'm pregnant but my family and Andrew's family have starting buying things and everything. My mom even moved into a bigger house for the baby and I(since she's fighting for custody of me) MOTY award for sure. My younger siblings are very excited and ask me about it constantly. Being pregnant has its ups and downs and even though its going to be extremely difficult, we'll be ready for it. I love talking to other people about their situation or whatever so if anyone ever needs to talk Im here!(:

If your dad doesn't want anything to do with you being pregnant then why won't he just let you move in with your mom instead of making her fight for it? I thought at your age you could choose who to live with anyways but I could be wrong.

I ask myself that all the time. And I tried just staying with my mom, and my dad filed some thing for Contempt of Court or something. But the hearing is at the end of the months and as far as I understand, I'll be able to explain why I need to live with my mom and things like that.

Thanks, and I live like 20 minutes east of Iowa City

If you go to court and you're 16, they'll ask you who you want to live with. They give you the choice, and who you pick is who you live with. My parents never went to court for it, (didn't have to, not after they found out that it would be a waste of time cause it would be up to me and not them.) but I was told that if they did, the judge would ask me and it would be my decision, not theres, unless the parent you want to live with is an unfit parent.
