C-section Q

posted 5th Jan
Is it normal to still be a little sore a few months after a c-section? It's nothing extreme, or unbearable..it's just a little tender around my scar.

I've never had a c-section, but since it is major abdominal surgery, i'd assume that a little tenderness even a few months after would be fine.

Yeah its normal. I get a stabbing pain every now and then. My aunt had a csection 2 decades ago and she still gets sore sometimes. She said it can be from the scar tissue.

I still feel a little numb at my incision sometimes. Feels weird.

had my c-section almost 9 months ago now... and i am sore there at least once a day. it doesn't help that DD crawls on it or kicks it either. it's kind of a constant irritating tenderness for me. i hate it.

Ugh, I was hoping the numbness would eventually go away. It just feels so ODD.

I'm not numb there at all.. it's just that sometimes it will get tender. I'm just scared that i'm doing too much and will eventually hurt myself. My c-section was the first surgery I've ever had. /shrug

I had oral surgery once but the csection was the first major surgery for me too. My incision has healed up nicely and the surgery wasnt too bad. It was day 2 when the gas pains kicked in that I couldnt stand. Holy cow was that painful!

I remember my ob coming in and upon seeing my bloated belly, he was like "you will be giving birth soon". I was like "Uh, come again?". Then he proceeded to tell me that I was full of gas and that it was going to feel like I was giving birth but worse because of my incision. He was right. If felt like an alien was trying to rip out of my belly. Ugh, the pain was horrible.

My doctor made me have an enema to move things along. All dignity was lost at that point. lol. They even measure your urine out put to make sure things are working correctly. Nothing like ringing the nurse twice to have her check how much I peed. Thank goodness she was so nice and supportive. I felt like saying "Yay, have I earned my big girl pull-ups now?!?!" LOL
