Questions about Biotin

So my sister just started taking biotin for hair strengthen and growth. I did some research on it and read that it boost women's fertility and helps with the reproductive system. Do any of you mamas take biotin? Also can you take iron pills with them too?

I took them before for hair & nails, didn't know the fertility thing, but I have fertility issues and was TTC the entire time I took biotin & didn't get pregnant while on it.

Did it help your hair and nails grow?

I didn't notice an improvement, but I also have hormone issues due to PCOS that cause my hair to be thin & fall out...which is why I took it, in hopes it would slow the hair loss, which it kinda did, so it might have at least helped me with that a little, but not enough for me to continue taking it after 3 or so months that I took it. If you don't have thinning hair or hair falling out and just want to try it to see if it'll help your hair either get thicker or grow faster, I'd say go for it. I doubt it'd hurt.

If you're Really serious about hair growth it's gonna take more than just a pill . You have to improve your diet, and also if you aren't doing it start a regular hair regime. There's videos on YouTube that can help you find a good hair routine for your specific hair type.

Those hair face and nail pills only work if you take them every day religiously without missing any. I've tried it and I stopped taking them because I didn't see enough results for me to keep pestering myself to remember to take em.

I wear alot of weave and my hair grows alot underneath it when I take it out but I just want it to be fuller.

Prenatal pills can help with that and fertility.. It's actually recommended by doctor to start your prenatals if you're TTC.

I wear alot of weave and my hair grows underneath it I just want it to be fuller. I'm not natural but I haven't relaxed my hair in about 3 months . I have to get a good deep condition when I take this hair out.
