My 2 year is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, and eggs.
When I first found out she had a peanut allergy, we went in for a RAST and they said she was allergic to peanuts, soy, milk, eggs, and wheat. Obviously there was some false positives, but I remember feeling real overwhelmed. This site really helped me make sense of her allergies.

I thought I was going to have a tough time... But I'm used to it and it's not so bad.
With peanuts, FYI, be careful with it. During the summer, I took Madilynn to a bakery to get some sweets. The label had no peanuts in it, but it was manufactured in a plant that processes peanuts..,but the label didn't indicate that. Long story short, poor baby had hives all over her face.

Oh that's terrible!! Poor girl. Companies really need to label things like that. Fortunately my LO doesn't get reactions like that... she gets other things like chronic illness, severe diaper rash, diarrhea... and she's always kind of fatigued. Her Dr said that's pretty common with food allergies. If they aren't severe, they often times go unnoticed. She actually tested positive in some sort of test that indicates the start of celiac disease, so I'm pretty happy we figured it out now so it can be prevented. Thanks so much for that web site!!
