i LOVE co-sleeping   Means i dont have to get up three times a night to feed, and that when she wakes up startled she sees me and doesn't freak out because she knows im there <3   Totally advise it. There's been studies done on it and normally its the father that rolls because he doesnt have mommy sense's so my advise is get a rail and put her/him on the end so make sure they dont fall off

I wouldnt worry too much about rolling. I move quite a bit in my sleep, always have. But when I slept with her, I never moved an inch for some reason! Our instincts usually kick in on a mommy level of awesomeness is all I can figure! ;)

I did it with DD as being a ftm I was exhausted with the little to no sleep I was getting. But now here I am 3 years later and I can't for the life of me get her to stay in her bed!!

I also move a lot in my sleep but when my little guy is in bed with me I don't move at all. Starting at about 2 weeks old (after a horrible ordeal with Billie lights) he wouldn't sleep unless I was holding him so I slept with him in my arms and I never moved while sleeping with him. Maybe you'll be the same way you just have to try if you want, if you do move too much but still want to cosleep then invest in a sleeper or something

I co-sleep part time. Most night she will sleep the first half of the night in her crib and when she wakes to feed I tucker her in next to me and nurse her and we both go to sleep. Other times I will let her fall asleep in bed with me and then get up to put her in her crib. On cranky days she sleeps with me all night and even during her naps wants me to lay with her. It's nice to cuddle though, and I get better sleep rather than having to get up and down to feed her at night. I didn't start until she was about 2 months though, before that she was in the bassinet right beside my bed.

I don't move much in my sleep so that part doesn't worry me..what I do is I have a side with drop sides well I took the one side off. I pushed the crib up to the wall and my bed up to the crib, I then pulled the crib mattress up against my mattress and put something to stop mattress from moving away from my bed(seriously its like the two mattresses are connected) the side without the siderail is up to my mattress then I lay him in the crib at first but if get doesn't want to state or when he wakes I pick him up and he lays in my arms. I didn't use blankets by him until he was able to fully move however he wanted and I keep my pillow away from him. If he does stay in his crib I find myself putting my hand on his belly because I feel lonely.lol as long as you are safe about it and you aren't a heavy sleeper or rolly then it can be just as safe as them sleeping in a crib. I know there is a website about safe cosleeping I just can't remember it..
