I know there's a few wahms on here that make them. they probably can't be much cheaper than the online sites since they have to spend the time and materials on them

You will spend more typically on wahms especially compared to alvas and other overseas companies. But they are made so nice.

yeah and also the fact that you can have really cute designs that aren't offered as much online. my mil got me the pocket diapers I have and they have flowers and hello kitty and such. not really a hello kitty fan myself but it's still cute

So true. I loooove some WAHM dipes. If I could afford it my stash would only be Little Fancy Pants and a few other brands, but at like $35 a pop there's no way, lol.

If budget is a concern you can check out used, even when I have a nice amount in paypal I still check out the facebook swaps or Spot's Corner. I've found a lot of good deals on DiaperSwappers as well (my favorite from there was the knit wool cover for $5ppd. She made it and it wasn't the right size for her daughter so she posted it up for sale. Never find new wool (or usually used wool, lol) for that cheap!)

I'm going to try doing it with this baby, I'm due 2 days after you. My moms thinks its weird I'm doing it, and most of my friends thinks its weird (well the ones that know I'm planning on it) I have one friend that thinks its neat. And my husband isnt too keen on it but I told him to suck it up. Lol. I feel its going to be very addicting buying them though :s So far I've spent $260 on them. But I've gotten quite a few, around 28 enough to last him till he's potty trained, and the detergent and wetbags. And they are super cute! I bought a bunch of different brands and styles. I bought pockets, prefolds with covers, and all in ones. The brands I got were Rumparoozs, Alvas, Sunbaby, Bummis prefolds and covers, Easy Peasie, Swaddlebees, Sweetpeas, and Thirsties. Though I can't review any of them now, I did read the reviews on them and some my cousin recommended. But like other people said it can depend on the baby too. I bought from fluffenvy.com and they have really good prices there. And I'm sure in the states they're a lot cheaper then canada.

Holy smurf wool for $5. Damn. I'm gonna send u my shopping lists and let you find me smurf haha.

Yeah mines almost all wahms. I have bear monkey bottoms, coopers, and now nicos when I get it haha. Commercially I have grovia and some rebranded alvas I got from a WAHM. They're ok but they don't compare to the individuality of my WAHM dipes

I don't browse as much now that I'm broke, but if I find any good deals I'll pm you, hehe. (still haven't found any other cheapish carriers, I looked around this morning some more. Found a few wovens for under $100, which is a good price, just not as low as that $28 one, lol).
And NOOOO Nico =/= washm! Just a hobby!!

Haha! You're the first person I've made one for that asked for one, I always tell people no. You should feel special! I made one for a family member because I hated the print and didn't want to put it on Fel, lol. The only other time I've made em for somebody else was when I surprised a family friend with enough cloth for 2 days her twin babies (I only made like 6, the rest were bought, lol).

It was neat making a newborn size though, made the ones I had out for Fel look gigantic.

It cloth diapered my first two boys then sold all their diapers because we didn't plan on having another for a couple years. Well, I'm pregnant like a month after selling them all lol and we are looking into a diaper service this time. The amount of air pollution for a single delivery per month will NEVER come close to comparing to the disgusting non-decomposable diapers thrown into landfills. Personally, I don't want my babies living among their own poopy diapers through the years of their lives. So -i- have been proactive and taken the steps to prevent that
