I was 34weeks. Registered mostly for bottles, clothes, blankets and small toys. Registered at Babies'r'us, got like 1 thing off my list... Kinda sucked because I had a themed nursery so everything would have matched, but I still got lots of cute stuff. Mostly clothes though.

Had 2 one the day before my due date the other 3 days after ( both were surprises) I registered at Walmart and Burlington and I didn't get a single thing I had on my registries lol!!

I had mine 2 months before my due date. I registered for everything from bottles to my travel system. That was the most expensive thing on my registry.

I got a lot of cute stuff, but only the person who bought my travel system bought off of my registry. It was almost a huge waste if my time.

I am currently 36 week and still haven't got one.  

I did register at WalMart, Kmart, and Amazon. Since one seems interested in throwing me a shower I just buy stuff of my own list. My daughter's nursery is done in Disney and that is what is whats on every registry. I asked for diapers, wipes, blankets, socks, books, and few bigger items encase my sisters and mother wanted to help out.

All well, at least my daughter has everything she needs now weather or not a get a shower.

I registered at Walmart, Kmart and Target.
I put just little things to give ideas. Like blankets, bibs, clothes, bottles, pacis, diapers, wipes, toys, and other random stuff. And then some bigger things like swing, bouncer, jumper, pack n play, crib sheets and other things like that.
I really didn't get any of the specifics I asked for. But I got a lot of good things.

The reason I did it at 32 weeks is to give myself enough time to get anything that I didn't get at my shower.
